Kit & Jen’s December wedding

I love a December wedding; romance is always in the air along with fragrances of mulled wine, sprigs of pine and – in the case of Kit & Jen’s wedding – fireworks.

The teachers, who live in North Yorkshire along with their adorable daughter Heidi, asked me to photograph their nuptials on December 28th at Aldwark Manor Golf & Spa Hotel.

It was the most perfect ceremony, in the crisp December sunshine followed by a reception that included Cèilidh dancing. Great fun!

The couple were especially keen to photograph the fireworks which topped off their momentous day.

Although the grass was waterlogged following the usual December rain, Jen managed to not sink into the lawn and leaned on her new husband to watch the firework display light up the sky.

They were thrilled with images!

Eric is a fabulous photographer and perhaps even more importantly, a lovely person. He couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly, and we are thrilled with the photos he took at our wedding, especially the fireworks ones which I’m sure will end up on our wall soon! Thanks again Eric 😊
